PLPR Cooks the Books

Posted by Polly Akielan

This month we’ve been exploring the brilliant Genevieve Taylor’s Masterchef: Street Food of the World book.

The concept is simple: pick something from the book. Cook it up in generous portions. Serve to the team and watch everyone smile.

Demuths Food Photography Day

Posted by Olivia Bennett

On Sunday I was lucky enough to spend the day at Demuth’s Cookery School in Bath on a food photography course with Rob Wicks of Eat Pictures.

Being an amateur photographer, and not straying far away from taking food snaps with my iPhone, I was very keen to learn more about the technique behind taking a good food photo on a proper dSLR camera.

Buzzing to be working with HUBBOX

Posted by Pam Lloyd

We're all super excited to be working on the launch of HUBBOX, arriving in Bristol this spring.

HUBBOX runs restaurants specialising in burgers, dogs and beers and is hurtling towards Whiteladies Road, work starts on site next week.

The old Las Iguanas unit, opposite Clifton Down shopping centre, will be home to the sixth site for the brand. HUBBOX is already thriving in Truro, Exeter and Plymouth; it has a beach bar on Pentewan Sands and also has its mothership, ‘Hub’ in St Ives.
